Since the 2023/2024 Odd Semester, the UNPAR Faculty of Law has implemented a new curriculum for undergraduate programs (hereinafter referred to as the 2023 Curriculum). The 2023 Curriculum is designed with a paradigm and approach that aligns with the previous curriculum, namely by first establishing the Graduate Profile and Learning Outcomes (CPL) and then determining the teaching materials needed to achieve those CPL. The various teaching materials were then organized into courses, their status (compulsory/elective) and credit weight determined, prerequisites established, and arranged in a structure based on semesters. In addition, the 2023 Curriculum accommodates the government’s policy on the Merdeka Belajar Program – Independent Campus (MBKM) program, which has been implemented since the 2021/2022 Odd Semester based on the Minister of Education and Culture Regulation Number 3 of 2020 concerning National Standards for Higher Education (hereinafter referred to as Permendikbud No. 3 of 2020). The MBKM program provides opportunities for students who meet certain requirements to gain experience outside their home campus and receive a maximum of 20 credits for each program.
The implementation of the 2023 Curriculum is also accompanied by a set of implementing regulations and policies to ensure that the Academic Implementation Guidelines of FH UNPAR 2025/2026 are carried out in accordance with the intended learning objectives and outcomes. To complete the Bachelor’s program, a student must complete a minimum of 144 credits, consisting of 132 credits of Compulsory Courses and a minimum of 12 credits of Elective Courses. For the MBKM Program, students are required to complete 124 credits and 20 credits of the MBKM program (for some matters, there are specific provisions and policies that must be followed for MBKM Program students). The substance of the 2023 Curriculum is structured in such a way that the educational process of a student in the Bachelor of Law Study Program can be directed towards the formation of a prospective legal professional who is well-rounded and includes the cultivation of academic knowledge, the formation of a moral character, the development of critical and methodical thinking skills, as well as the ability to interact socially and work together.
